Role: Sr iOS Developer

Location: Canada (Remote - but EST and CST zones preferred)

Job Type: Contract (T4 preferred)

NOTE: Updated LinkedIn ID is a must

Primary Skill-Set: Swift UI, Core Data, UI Kit, Combine, Observable framework, Swift Package Manager, MVVM architecture

Salesforce API knowledge is a plus.

Nice to have: Java

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently develop new features and enhancements, ensuring they meet the specified requirements and quality standards by leveraging iOS SDK along with relevant tools & technologies.

• Write unit test cases with acceptable test coverage to ensure code reliability and robustness.

• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and ensure smooth user experience.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Maintain and refactor features you implement to improve performance and maintainability.

Responsibility Summary:

• Collaborates with the architecture group and other teams to improve existing APls and design new APls and systems that are scalable and reliable for mobile apps

• Collaborate with leaders, colleagues, and teams to solve tough problems

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine business requirements, design, develop and test application code

• Coordinate, execute, assess and troubleshoot software programs and applications

• Enforces sound development practices and ensures the quality delivery of enterprise mobile solutions

• Prepares technical solution and architecture documents, artifacts, work products

• mentoring of mobile developers, both associates and contractors if needed

• Stays abreast of the latest technical trends and best practices while evaluating emerging technologies and their ability to support firm objectives

• Support production deployment on Thursday ( 1 day in a week) . Deployment happens at 9 PM CT and goes for 15 mins - 2 hours. Individual can adjust the next working day by logging in late or logging off early. There is no OT.

Qualifications Required in the Job:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience ( Financial domain experience would be good to have)

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

• 8+ experience in hands-on software development

• 2+ years of leadership experience in corporate environment

• 5+ years' experience with Swift/Objective-C, iOS frameworks and design patterns

• 5+ years of developing, releasing and maintaining mobile apps

• In-depth experience defining technical requirements and development of native iOS apps

• Proven experience using Swift, XCode, various Frameworks (UIKit, Swift Ul, etc)

• Familiarity with Enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions

• Experience working with Agile development frameworks

• Knowledge of source control tools, specifically Git

• Proficiency with mobile development tools (Xcode, Swift Package Manager, GitHub, Firebase, CI/CD)

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of microservices and cloud computing

• Knowledge of mobile security domain and solutions

• Experience in Java/Kotlin, Android Studio, IntelliJ or Eclipse

• CloudKit, APNs

• REST API design and development

• Proficient in mobile application delivery for B2B, B2C & B2A applications

• Strong understanding on Google Play & Apple Developer Programs
