The Bakery Manager is responsible for effective overall operation of the Bakery Department to achieve sales and profit goals established for the department. Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting customers within 10 feet and answering questions promptly.
• Providing accurate product information and recommendations.
• Training staff on store procedures and operational standards.
• Preparing weekly schedules, production sheets, and supply orders.
• Managing inventory for freshness, quality, and proper stock levels.
• Addressing employee issues and coordinating disciplinary actions.
• Maintaining clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing displays.
• Recording price changes, in-store usage, voids, and spoilage accurately.
• Decorating, packaging, labeling, and pricing bakery products, completing special orders.
• Operating bakery equipment (oven, proofer, mixers, slicer, fryer, scale, decorating tools).
• Verifying invoices and logging deliveries securely.
• Submitting reports and monthly inventory on time.
• Applying pricing based on margin guidelines and profit goals.
• Following sanitation, safety, and space management plans.
• Handling damaged or spoiled goods per policy.
• Communicating clearly within the store and organization.
• Monitoring hazards and ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Adhering to scheduled hours and store rules.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Previous bakery experience is required.
• Food safety knowledge is required.
• Previous team management experience is a plus.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs especially during times of high volume and/or stress.
• Must be able to read and do simple math problems.
• Wants to be part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• 18 years of age or older.
