About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio (up to 5:1 when stretched)
• Perform neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and TLSO brace management
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, and feeding tube placement
• Administer blood transfusions and operate patient lift equipment including Skylift
• Document patient care using Cerner EMR
• Float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed

• Active RN licensure applicable to the state of North Carolina
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Neuro and trauma care experience required - candidates without this experience will not be considered

• Strong background in neuro and trauma care within a progressive care or stepdown setting
• Experience with chest tubes, lumbar drains, and tracheostomy care
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR

• Work within a well-staffed, structured unit environment with a consistent shift schedule and defined patient ratios
• Gain specialized experience in neuro and trauma progressive care at a high-volume facility in western North Carolina
