The tech will work night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week. Weekends are required every other weekend. The position does not require floating between units. The tech will have a patient ratio of 1 tech for 16 beds. The daily census includes a variety of age groups from neonates to geriatrics. Experience with different CT scans and X-rays is essential. Skills needed include abdominal scans with and without contrast, chest scans, and musculoskeletal trauma imaging. The ability to prepare and administer contrast media is required. The tech will also be responsible for starting peripheral IVs. Each shift will involve completing various types of CT scans and potentially X-ray procedures. The position is expected to cover a diverse patient population with varying diagnoses and special procedures. The tech should be familiar with using PACS and Siemens equipment. Flexibility to work holidays is necessary as three of the five major holidays must be worked. Travel compliance and a valid state license are required for this assignment.
