Senior Ci/Cd Automation Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior CI/CD Automation Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX or Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for designing, building, and executing a fully automated Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) ecosystem across both containerized platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes) and traditional VM-based environments (RHEL/Windows). The position also contributes to the development of web-facing applications using ReactJS and Java-based backend services, focusing on addressing gaps in test and deployment automation and enabling secure, AI-assisted vulnerability response.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
• Automate test frameworks and deployment processes
• Support both containerized and VM-based deployment models
• Develop and enhance web-facing applications (ReactJS + Java backend)
• Work with Platform, Security, and Engineering teams
• Deliver fully automated, secure deployment pipelines

Requirements:

• Strong expertise with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, XLR, Datical)
• Strong expertise with test automation tools (Cucumber, Playwright)
• Strong expertise with deployment automation (Ansible)
• Strong development expertise in ReactJS (front-end)
• Strong development expertise in Java (backend services / microservices)
• Experience with OpenShift / Kubernetes and VM-based platforms (RHEL / Windows)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience designing deployment patterns that support high availability and resiliency
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments
• Experience with hybrid (VM + container) deployment models
• Full-stack development experience (UI + APIs)
• Experience with AI-driven SDLC transformation
• Able to meet a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of 3 days per week onsite
