Cage Supervisor

Cage/Vault SupervisorResponsible and accountable for the operations of the Cage/Vault during the assigned shift. Assists in training new Team Members as assigned, prepares reports, oversees Title 31 enforcement and reporting activities, and recommends changes in Cage/Vault procedures as needed.ResponsibilitiesResponds to guest inquires and concerns.Interfaces with other departments as necessary, in a positive and professional manner.Supervises activity and maintains security and accountability of company funds located in the Cage/Vault during a shift.Assists in training new Team Members as assigned.Maintains an orderly and positive working environment.Participates in the performance evaluations of Team Members. Recommends coaching for improved performance actions as needed.Assists in the investigation of variances.Prepares reports as required.Oversees Title 31 enforcement and reporting activities.Recommends changes in Cage/Vault procedure.Assists Cage/Vault Cashiers as required.Trains, mentors, develops, coaches, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, and recommends disciplinary actions as appropriate.Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED Certificate.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience is preferred.Two years of experience in casino Cage/Vault operations preferred.Previous experience in hospitality and/or sales.Ability to successfully pass a basic math assessment.Demonstrated ability to perform cash handling operations using units of American money.Basic knowledge of business and accounting systems and methods.Basic knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.Basic proficiency in computers, including Microsoft Office and database applications, e-mail, and Internet.Basic proficiency in 10-key and other office equipment.Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.Native American hiring preference applies.Organizational Awareness: Having and using knowledge of systems, situations, procedures, and culture inside the organization to identify potential problems and opportunities; perceiving the impact and the implications of decisions on other components of the organization.Quality Orientation: Setting high standards regarding his/her work and working environment and acting accordingly; developing quality standards, continuously evaluating performance, products, and procedures; actively seeking ways to improve quality.Attention to Detail: Taking responsibility for a thorough and detailed method of working.Planning and Organizing: Setting priorities and defining actions, time, and resources needed to achieve predefined goals.Accountability: Accepting responsibility that results in anticipation/prevention of problem areas from actions, and problem solving inside and outside the department/organization.Integrity: Upholding generally accepted social and ethical standards in job-related activities and behaviors.Written Communication: Expressing ideas and opinions clearly in properly structured, well organized, and grammatically correct reports or documents; utilizing language and terminology that is understandable for the reader.Oral Communication: Shaping and expressing ideas and information in an effective manner.Location3400 Highway 246Minimum Pay Rate$26.85 per hourMaximum Pay Rate$29.80 per hour
