Position Summary

Servers at Pepperoni Grill are responsible for delivering a consistent, high-quality dining experience through clear steps of service, strong communication, and teamwork. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to hospitality. Servers are expected to execute service standards with consistency while contributing positively to the flow and success of the entire restaurant.

Servers are expected to consistently follow Pepperoni Grill service standards, including:

• Prompt, friendly greeting with eye contact and professional demeanor

• Introduction and engagement that establishes rapport with guests

• Confident guidance through menu items, beverages, wine, and daily features

• Accurate order taking with confirmation of modifiers and preferences

• Proper pacing of courses and communication with the kitchen and bar

• Delivery of food and beverages with correct presentation and verbal confirmation

• Timely quality checks and ongoing table maintenance

• Anticipation of guest needs while remaining attentive and unobtrusive

• Offering dessert and after-dinner beverages when appropriate

• A warm, professional close and sincere invitation to return

Consistency in execution is expected on every shift and for every guest.

• Communicate clearly, respectfully, and proactively with all team members

• Support fellow servers and service staff to maintain smooth dining room flow

• Respond promptly to direction from managers and assist when needed

• Communicate guest concerns, special requests, or timing issues immediately

• Maintain awareness of the entire dining room, not just your own section

Teamwork and communication are essential to delivering exceptional service.

• Maintain full knowledge of food, beverage, wine, and daily features

• Accurately enter orders into the POS system

• Ensure tables, stations, and service areas remain clean and organized

• Complete all opening, running, and closing side work as assigned

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines

• Uphold Pepperoni Grill standards for appearance, professionalism, and conduct

• Previous serving experience preferred

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment

• Team-oriented mindset with a high level of accountability

• Professional appearance and polished guest interaction

• Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods

• Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service
