Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/Pre-Post-Op RN for a Days position requiring Cath Lab and recovery experience with IA or compact RN licensure.

Works in the Cardiac Holding Area, a 19-bed pre/post-op unit

Cares for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and possibly EP procedures

Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3

Performs groin and radial site management, including TR band management

Uses EPIC EMR

Days shift, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts starting as early as 0600, 40 hours per week

No weekend or on-call requirements

Floating required, possibly to Vascular Holding and Diagnostic Cardiology

Holiday rotation required

Active RN license (IA or compact) required

Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required

Minimum 15 months of Cath Lab, critical care, and/or PACU experience in a hospital or medical center setting required

Pre and post-op/recovery experience required

EPIC EMR experience required

Groin and radial site management experience required

TR band management experience required

24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Pre/Post Op Surgery experience required on work history

Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Pre/Post Op required

Driver's license document required for consideration

First-time travelers welcomed with at least 36 months of experience

Recent or current Cardiac Cath or Cardiac post-op care experience highly preferred

One professional supervisory reference/performance evaluation within the last 24 months highly preferred

Primary assignment is Cardiac Holding with float assistance to Vascular Holding and possibly Diagnostic Cardiology

Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered

Past UPH employees (FTE or PRN float pool) cannot work travel assignments at other UPH markets regardless of current or recent employment within the past 12 months
