Step into an exciting opportunity supporting students across a dynamic K-12 setting! This full-time, in-person position spans the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, where your expertise as a Physical Therapist can make a significant impact districtwide. With a Monday through Friday schedule offering 32-37.5 hours per week, you'll play a crucial role in helping school-aged children achieve their physical and educational goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with eligibility to practice in Connecticut
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric environment highly valued
- Enthusiasm for working with K-12 students of diverse abilities
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to maintaining documentation and progress reports in accordance with district policies
- Willingness to work on-site; remote work is not available for this role
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy assessments and direct interventions for students in accordance with IEP requirements
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into students’ educational programming
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise to planning discussions
- Maintain accurate and thorough records for compliance and progress tracking
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment conducive to student development
