As a Critical Care Paramedic, you will provide advanced inter-facility emergency and non-emergency medical care and transportation for critically ill or injured patients across New Mexico. Deliver high-quality critical care during inter-facility transports using Clinical Practice Guidelines and standing orders. Perform advanced procedures including IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial punctures, wound care, and bedside diagnostics. Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment (e.g., cardiac monitors, ventilators). Maintain accurate electronic documentation of patient care and billing information. Communicate effectively with sending and receiving medical teams to ensure continuity of care. Promote the CCT program through professional interactions with partner agencies and facilities. Maintain ambulance readiness, including equipment checks, cleaning, and restocking. Participate in ongoing training, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and families during transport. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED equivalent required Associates or Bachelor’s degree in EMS, Nursing, Business Management or related field preferred. Current New Mexico driver’s license is required without relevant restrictions. Must be at least 18 years of age with a driving record insurable per Presbyterian policy Must possess and maintain a State of New Mexico Paramedic license in good standing 1 year minimum Paramedic experience in a high-volume system required 2 years of high volume Paramedic experience preferred if missing FP-C/CCP-C 3-5 years Paramedic experience preferred Must maintain all required certifications (i.e., ACLS, BLS) PALS (or equivalent), NRP, and STABLE required within 6 months of hire. Current Critical Care certification required within 9 months of hire (FP-C, CCEMT-P, or CCP-C). Must be up to date with FEMA 100, 200, 700 courses Must pass physical abilities assessment Must obtain medical examiner certification/DOT certification as part of on-boarding and maintain.
