Job Title: Warehouse Worker (Open Shifts) ($17.75 - 19.00/hr.)

This role oversees a production line manufacturing corrugated pipe, ensuring that all products meet established quality standards and production targets. You will perform a mix of hands-on production, basic equipment maintenance, and material handling tasks to support efficient and safe operations. 1st shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

2nd shift from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

3rd shift from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m

Responsibilities

• Oversee and operate a production line producing corrugated pipe.
• Ensure pipe is produced to the correct length and meets all quality requirements, including color, shape, size, and overall appearance.
• Tie off pipe to the specified length in preparation for shipment.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment to support safe and reliable operation.
• Load finished product onto forklifts so it can be loaded into trucks or placed in the yard.
• Keep pace with established production standards and output goals.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Report any nonconformances or quality issues promptly to support corrective action.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work cooperatively with other production employees to complete team lifts and support overall line performance.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform general labor and production tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail to identify and prevent quality issues related to color, shape, size, and length.
• Willingness to perform somewhat repetitive or monotonous tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.
• Capability to operate or learn to operate production machinery safely and effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently, with heavier items handled as team lifts.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Openness to working overtime, including some Saturdays as required.
• Basic comfort with completing paperwork and documenting nonconformances.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Previous forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with general production, machine operation, or general labor roles is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn forklift operation and additional equipment as needed.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work any of the available shifts as needed.

Work Environment

The production facility typically operates with about eight production employees on each shift and approximately 60 employees in total, fostering a collaborative team environment. The operation runs three shifts: 1st shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 2nd shift from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and 3rd shift from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch period. A shift differential is available for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role involves working around production machinery, handling corrugated pipe, and using forklifts to move finished products in the yard and to trucks. Employees wear provided uniforms and appropriate footwear, supported by a boot allowance, to maintain safety and consistency on the production floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wooster, OH.

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
