Responsibilities include handling insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution, managing construction defect cases, drafting and arguing motions, preparing case strategy and evaluating liability, damages and exposure, taking and defending depositions, working directly with clients, carriers, experts, opposing counsel and internal litigation teams, managing deadlines, case budgets, reporting requirements and litigation strategy, attending court hearings, mediations, arbitrations and other litigation proceedings, and supporting case resolution through settlement negotiations, dispositive motions and trial preparation.Qualifications include mid-level to senior attorney with insurance defense litigation experience, construction defect experience strongly preferred, 1,900 billable hour requirement, strong written advocacy, deposition, motion practice and case management skills, ability to manage a litigation caseload with limited supervision, experience working with insurance carriers, reporting guidelines and litigation budgets preferred, active and good standing California bar required, and ability to work a hybrid schedule in Los Angeles.
