Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Mid Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Epic experience Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective, patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit while promoting personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. The RN applies the caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care. The RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comforts, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff. Job Responsibilities: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition, demonstrating the ability to make sound independent decisions. Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care, reviewing and revising the plan as needed. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services, utilizing resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patients, and families. Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions. Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs, as appropriate to the care and treatment provided during their stay and at discharge. Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel, functioning as a mentor/preceptor. Demonstrates, encourages, and facilitates teamwork. Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement. Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts. Implements practice changes and complies with regulatory standards. Participates in the Practice Governance model. Required Skills: Acute care nursing.
