Transload Operator

Assignment Duration: This is a temporary position with an anticipated start date of 11/3/2026 and an anticipated end date of 1/8/2027. Employment in this role is expected to conclude on or before this date unless business needs require an extension.

The Transload Operator will be responsible for transferring dry bulk products; frac sand, proppants, and other products; to/from railcars and trucks in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining facility and equipment used.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Unloads/loads railcars; to include non-bulk items.

Operates all equipment related to transload operation which includes but is not limited to: mobile conveyers, generators, portable light sets, lite duty vehicles, tractors, railcar/gate openers, forklifts, and loaders.

Operates portable hand tools; power and non-power, in accordance with all safety and operating rules.

Starts, stops, and operates engines and portable pumps in accordance with all safety and operation rules.

Performs general maintenance of all equipment used in transload operations, reporting any deficiencies that require further maintenance.

Communicates with team members to control and direct transload activities.

Observes, interprets and relays verbal and non-verbal communications; radio, phone, hand signals, lantern signals, switch target indicators, flags, and lights.

Conducts all written and verbal reporting in a timely and accurate manner.

Complies with all company and federal safety rules, policies and procedures to include wearing required safety equipment, responding to safety concerns and taking appropriate action when needed.

Takes an active role in safety programs including attendance to all safety meetings and ensures safe behaviors of self and coworkers.

Performs general housekeeping and cleaning.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum one year related experience and/or training.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid state issued driver's license.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a good attitude.

Other Qualifications: Prior experience working on or around rail operation. Ability and willingness to work an irregular schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays to support a 24 hour a day 7 day a week operation.
