Stand - Up Forklift Operator (2nd Shift)

Cold Storage!

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Shift: 5:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Stand-Up Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for safely moving, storing, staging, and loading products while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate has stand-up forklift experience, pays close attention to detail, and is committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete the daily forklift maintenance and pre-shift inspection checklist.
• Safely load and unload trucks.
• Move products onto pallets in the correct position.
• Scan products and transport them to the appropriate loading or staging areas.
• Verify product accuracy and proper placement.
• Direct products to the correct warehouse locations.
• Secure pallets using stretch wrap and apply the appropriate labels.
• Record materials, weights, quantities, and product condition using an RF scanner.
• Safely operate stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and dock loaders.
• Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, and other lifting devices.
• Perform inventory counts and product verification as needed.
• Label, sort, stack, wrap, and secure products for shipment.
• Recharge, maintain, and clean forklift batteries while using required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including sweeping as needed.
• Wear all company-approved cold weather PPE while working in refrigerated warehouse environments.
• Follow all company safety procedures and food safety requirements.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and professional personal work area.
• Assist with inventory and utility functions as directed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations and company objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a stand - up forklift or reach truck.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive work ethic.
• Commitment to workplace safety and attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a cold storage or food distribution warehouse.
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems.
