divh2Cardiac Stress Technician/h2pThe cardiac stress technician will work under the direction of the on-site cardiologist, performing various clinical and administrative duties related to nuclear medicine stress testing. This includes but not limited to patient preparation, supervision of exercise and pharmacological stress tests./ph3Principal Duties And Responsibilities/h3ulliTravel between cardiology sites which does nuclear stress testing/liliPreparation of patient for stress testing procedure/liliAssess patients vital signs/liliEstablish Peripheral Intravenous (IV) access./liliSet up and monitor patient through 12 lead EKG stress testing including application of 12 lead and rhythm identification and interpretation./liliGathers information on patients illnesses and medical history to guide the choice of diagnostic procedures for therapy./liliAssists in preparing intake charts (including clinical data, consent form, referral form, and authorization information) for patients prior to testing appointment./liliApplication of ACLS algorithms when warranted under the direct supervision of on-site cardiologist including administration of resuscitation pharmacological agents, oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal airway placement and suctioning/liliAssist in the preparation and tear down of mobile operations at practice site/liliResponsible for maintaining non-nuclear medical supplies and equipment including but not limited to ordering non-radioactive pharmaceuticals, ensuring their safe and compliant storage, completing monthly inventory reports, maintaining defibrillators ensuring scheduled maintenance is completed and batteries checked, ensuring crash carts medical supply are stocked, inventoried and expiration date monitored./liliRespond to drug recalls as per established protocols/liliTrain and mentor new employees/liliParticipates in quality improvement/quality assurance projects/liliAssures critical findings/results are reported per policy/liliInterfaces with cardiologists and staff to assure flexibility and productivity of schedule/liliPerforms other duties assigned by CHPPs executive leadership, the Chair of the Department of Cardiology and the AVP of the Cardiovascular Service Line/liliReports to the Nuclear Lab Medical Director, CHPPs executive leadership, the Chair of the Department of Cardiology and the AVP of the Cardiovascular Service for clinical quality and accreditation./li/ulh3Position Requirements/h3ulliAble to read/interpret EKG tracings/liliAble to administer CPR when warranted/liliAble to enter data electronically accurately and quickly/liliGraduate of an accredited EMT program./liliRN license or an ACSM Certified CEP or Paramedic Certification/liliACLS Certification/li/ulh3Posted Salary Range/h3pUSD $45.00 - USD $60.00 /Hr./ppThis range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and experience./ppThe salary range listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits./ppAt Catholic Health, we believe in a people-first approach.
