TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wheeling, West Virginia, 26003!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current and valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to work with patient ratios of 1:6/7 and be flexible with 1:7 ratios. Description: Unit has 30 beds. The nurse will care for patients with common diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI. There is one charge nurse on the floor with assignment. Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are present on the unit. RNs will titrate heparin drips based on APTT results. There is no ventilatory support equipment on the unit; intermittent BIPAP is available. Telemetry monitoring is conducted remotely by monitor techs. Shifts will transition to a scheduling system. Weekends and holidays are scheduled as needed, usually one-half of the total weekends. There is no standby or call requirement. Floating may occur based on census, with external travelers designated to float first. Scrub color is navy blue. Cancellation policy allows for two shifts per contract. The charting system used is EPIC. A BSN is not required for this position. Trauma level and acute care settings are involved.
