The Work: The candidate will support the Business Development team responsible for Laser & Sensor Systems within RMS's Sensors Effectors and Mission Systems line of business. This individual will support growth objectives related to Lockheed Martin's Sensing and Targeting portfolio within the US Department of War. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and shaping opportunities to capture new business while cultivating strong relationships with the US Government. This is a US-based role that may include ~50% of domestic travel. The Business Development lead will support Laser & Sensor Systems growth by managing a pipeline of opportunities. This includes:

• Building and maintaining trusting and productive relationships with customers, influencers and key opinion leaders
• Proactive and responsive engagement with domestic customers and related stakeholders
• Performing market research and developing business cases to identify, qualify, and shape opportunities
• Developing and implementing capture strategies, analysis of competition, and win strategies
• Leading teams to respond to Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, and other solicitations
• Contributing to product line and market segment strategic planning cycles
• Managing in-year and planning future-year new business funding
• Collaborating and coordinating with functional, LOB, and BA stakeholders
• Preparing and presenting opportunity reviews to Leadership
• Other related duties as assigned by leadership
