With operations spanning the Gulf Coast, Mid-west, Canada and Mexico, we offer an end-to-end service offering to our customers through Engineering, Infrastructure, Electrical & Instrumentation, Specialty Services divisions.Position OutlineDue to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Journeyman Electrician based in our Port Lavaca, Texas office. The Journeyman Electrician will be assigned onsite at client location in Point Comfort, Texas.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Installing electrical wiring to ensure electrical systemsTroubleshooting electrical issues to find the source of a reported problem and identify repair optionsRepairing electrical wiring and componentsInspecting components, including wiring and electrical products, to ensure they're safe and within the required codeTraining Apprentices and newer Electricians and overseeing their workUpgrading existing electrical systems to enhance performance, reduce utility costs and ensure safetyQualifications and Requirements:Must hold journeyman electrician license (or apprentice license plus adequate years of service and pass a competency test.)Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues such as faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits and equipment failureExperience using tools such as wire strippers, receptacle testers and cable cuttersAbility to read blueprints to understand a structure's electrical setupProblem-solving and critical thinking skills, as Journeyman Electricians may troubleshoot and repair issues in the fieldAttention to detail to make precise, accurate measurementsStrong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.Compensation & BenefitsTaurus offers a competitive compensation program that considers the applicant's experience and capabilities, including access to medical benefits, vacation and 401k.
