About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Foundation. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and nurturing relationships, partnerships, and resources to ensure strong community support for the institution's mission. This role involves leading the Foundation in its resource development efforts, with a primary focus on private and philanthropic fundraising. The Executive Director will also oversee the management of the college's scholarship program, annual and planned giving, major gifts, and the expansion of endowed funds. A key responsibility is to work closely with the Foundation Board and the College President, serving as the primary advisor on all Foundation and fundraising initiatives. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of 3 years' of related experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in securing gifts from various sources. A Master's degree may substitute for 18 months of experience, and a Bachelor's degree for one year. The role requires strong financial management skills, experience with QuickBooks accounting software, and the ability to effectively plan and implement fundraising events. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and management abilities, as well as strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation, experience in major giving campaigns, and a background in an educational environment. The Executive Director must be able to work well in a team and be committed to promoting a culture of caring, respect, and innovation.
