**Job Type:**Permanent**Build a brilliant future with Hiscox****Drive growth with an ambitious team of Entertainment Underwriters at Hiscox****Position:** Sr. Underwriter, Entertainment**Reporting to** AVP Regional Manager – Entertainment**Location:** Los Angeles, CA**The Role:**Hiscox USA is currently searching for a dynamic, engaging and solutions-oriented Sr. Underwriter to drive new property & casualty business and complex renewal business within the Entertainment sector in the west coast region. This position provides a unique opportunity for a property/casualty generalist or an entertainment specialist to join a fast paced, dynamic team to write policies tailored to the specific requirements of the Entertainment sector. Lines of business include commercial general liability, property, inland marine, umbrella, auto and workers’ compensation. In addition to insuring film, touring bands and theater business, all businesses which feed into or off of the entertainment sector are included. Examples include venues, equipment rental houses, post-production facilities, recording studios and talent agents. Risks vary greatly in size and complexity (from start-ups to large, multinational entities). We provide an entrepreneurial climate that values and rewards thoughtful risk taking, excellence in execution and ownership in body of work.**What You’ll Be Doing:*** Underwrite, price and negotiate accounts consistent with the quality of the risk and according to the company’s strategy and guidelines for the product lines:* Develop new broker relationships and increase depth of existing broker relationships throughout the west coast to drive production* Engage with the national entertainment team to learn and teach collaboratively* Maintain excellent customer service standards* Monitor product results and develop ideas to increase productivity and profitability* At times, regional travel required including industry events and broker visits**Please provide a cover letter and resume which clearly communicates that you are the person to take on this challenge at Hiscox USA.
