Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a SAP FICO Consultant on behalf of our client in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO), along with a mandatory background in SAP ABAP development. This role requires a blend of functional consulting and technical expertise to support business process optimization, SAP configuration, integrations, testing, production support, and solution delivery across enterprise finance operations.

Key Responsibilities Functional Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Finance and Controlling processes.
• Configure and support SAP FI modules, including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Bank Accounting
  • Taxation
  • New GL
• Configure and support SAP CO modules, including:
  • Cost Center Accounting
  • Profit Center Accounting
  • Internal Orders
  • Product Costing
  • Profitability Analysis (COPA)
• Conduct workshops, fit-gap analysis sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
• Develop functional specifications and business process documentation.
• Support unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
• Provide production support and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement business solutions and process improvements.

Technical Responsibilities

• Utilize prior ABAP development experience to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Review and validate functional and technical specifications.
• Support RICEFW objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers on custom developments and enhancements.
• Perform debugging and root-cause analysis when required.
• Support integrations across SAP and third-party applications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of overall SAP experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP FICO consulting experience.
• Prior SAP ABAP development experience is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in:

• Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, and year-end close activities.
• Strong understanding of SAP integrations, including:

  • FI-SD
  • FI-CO
• Knowledge of ABAP technical objects, including:
  • Reports
  • SmartForms/SAPScripts
  • User Exits
  • BAdIs
  • Enhancements
  • BAPIs
  • IDocs
  • Interfaces
  • Debugging
• Experience participating in end-to-end SAP implementations and support projects.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation experience.
• Experience with Central Finance (CFIN).
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications.
• SAP FICO Certification.
• Experience working on global implementation, rollout, or AMS engagements.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and distributed team environments.
