Phlebotomist Float

The main function of a Phlebotomist Float is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations. The candidate will be floating between locations where most needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge specimens.
• Record maintenance data and perform decontamination.
• Update patient information accurately.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of experience.
• Strong customer service skills.

Work Environment:

The position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced lab or hospital setting, requiring flexibility to float between locations as needed. Compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations is mandatory, and the work may require handling specimens in accordance with specific protocols to maintain their integrity.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.61/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
