Because regular in-person collaboration is central to this job, we look for candidates who live within about 50 miles of the office.Everfox will consider reasonable accommodation as required by law.About the role:We have an immediate need for a Software Engineer to enhance capabilities of cyber products for security-conscious government & commercial customers. The position will be responsible for developing & testing new product capabilities, software development/build tools, software test infrastructure & operational support for cross-domain products.The ideal candidate is a self-starter, working in a cohesive team environment, willing to grow & learn using many software development & operational tools to test, debug & support software for secure Linux desktop environments, IT operations/enterprise management, IP networking/routing and remote/virtual desktop deployments.Location: Richardson, Texas On-SiteWork Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday (standard work schedule with flexibility for mission critical requirements).Key Responsibilities:Utilize your expertise in software development processes to guide the requirement definition, design and implementation of secure message gateways.Demonstrate competency working hands-on in Linux based environments.Develop new features and extensions to existing products using a variety of languages including Rust, C, C++, Java, and proprietary languages.Self-starter utilizing your Linux and scripting expertise to integrate new features and extensions into complex products.Leverage standard networking concepts to support the design and implementation of Cross Domain capabilities.Develop data inspection policies using proprietary and open-source programming languages.Provide technical briefings to customers and Everfox leadership as required.Key Experience and Education Requirements:BS Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Security or equivalent8+ years' experience in software engineering, system engineering or related disciplinesExperience with software development in Linux environments using a variety of programming and scripting languages including Java, Python, Go, C/C++, and/or bashHands-on experience implementing TCP/IP networking & related protocols (such as SSH, IPSEC, TLS/SSL, etc)Robust understanding of private and public keys and or certificatesExperience with version control technologies such as GitRed Hat Enterprise, Fedora or Ubuntu Linux operating systemsAbility to obtain Government Security Clearance if needed.A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:$125,100.00-164,000.00 USDThe actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
