Education Program Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD
$200kCrossover for Work
Exceptional leaders understand that success is defined not by personal achievement, but by the accomplishments of those they develop. If your background includes building teams that excel, guiding individuals to surpass targets, and operating in settings where high performance is non-negotiable, this position provides an opportunity to leverage that expertise in service of the next generation. At Alpha, students do not sit through traditional lectures. They advance academically through adaptive technology, while Guides concentrate on coaching, accountability, motivation, and essential life skills. As a Lead Guide, your role is to develop the team that executes this model—mentoring Guides, cultivating leaders, and fostering an environment in which students routinely surpass expectations. This is neither an instructional coaching position nor a traditional classroom teaching role. You will not review lesson plans or observe lectures, because they do not exist in this model. Instead, your focus will be on building a culture of excellence through Guide coaching, facilitating impactful life skills workshops, and inspiring students to pursue ambitious objectives. Performance will be evaluated based on student experience quality, team outcomes, and your capacity to uphold rigorous standards while motivating others to meet them. Alpha is constructing the premier K-12 educational experience in the world. This mission requires leaders who have already demonstrated their ability to elevate others' performance, make decisions grounded in objective data, and champion innovative approaches rather than defend outdated conventions. If this resonates with you, we welcome the conversation. This position is available at select Alpha campuses: Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; and Santa Barbara, CA. What You Will Be Doing Mentoring Guides to reliably provide outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous standards. Facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that cultivate communication, leadership, concentration, and other practical competencies for K-12 students. Inspiring students to pursue ambitious learning targets and optimize progress within their self-directed academic pathways. Leveraging data, direct observation, and coaching dialogues to enhance Guide effectiveness and student results. Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by cultivating a culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and relentless improvement. What You Won’t Be Doing Delivering traditional academic instruction or presenting subject-specific lectures. Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum materials. Compromising standards to provide students with artificial feelings of success rather than facilitating genuine mastery. Leading a team remotely from an office without direct, regular coaching of both students and Guides. Maintaining obsolete methods simply because they represent established practice. Education Program Manager Key Responsibilities Guarantee that every student consistently receives Alpha's three promises through the development of high-performing Guides, the delivery of compelling life skills programming, and the maintenance of uncompromising expectations for student achievement. Basic Requirements Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus (relocation support available): Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; Santa Barbara, CA Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role. Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people. Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements. Experience working with children ages 5-14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental setting. Experience building or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Nice-to-have Requirements Experience coaching youth through athletics, debate, camps, or extracurricular programs. Exceptional public speaking and storytelling skills. A track record of achieving high levels of academic, professional, or athletic performance. Experience motivating teams through ambitious goals while maintaining high accountability. A passion for challenging conventional education and helping shape a new model for K-12 learning.
