Operations ManagerThis position is accountable for the operation, personnel management, and the service to customers within a specified geographic region.Essential FunctionsDevelop operating plans for the assigned regional operationServe as point of contact for drivers regarding issues/questions pertaining to organizational policies, payroll, benefits, etc.Set up schedules for driversRecruit drivers/owner operatorsEngage with customers to drive growth and enhance relationshipsResolve customer issuesEnsure that the safety values of the organization are followedAssist, support and direct managersManage, coach, discipline, and evaluate staffQualificationsBachelor degree in business or equivalent work experienceBackground in transportationGood people skillsAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and writtenNote: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
