Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in the operating room required. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: - Strong scrub and circulate skills in orthopedic, trauma, vascular, and neuro surgery. - Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred. - Ability to float within various units as needed. Description: The role requires an RN specializing in the Cardiovascular Operating Room. The shift is four 10-hour shifts from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Call requirements include one 10-hour shift on either Saturday or Sunday per month. Weekend work is required every other weekend, totaling two weekends per month. Requested time off is limited to five days maximum, with no more than two consecutive days taken. No time off is permitted on holidays or on the day before or after a holiday. This facility mandates that all resources float as necessary to meet needs. The RN will be expected to scrub and circulate in various surgical areas. Strong experience in scrubbing and circulating surgical procedures is essential. Professional references are required prior to starting the position. Applicants must live within a specified distance from the facility to be considered. All time off requests must adhere to established policies. Floating is a standard and frequent practice, and clinicians may be assigned to different locations. Team-based care models will be utilized to ensure proper support when floating outside of primary competencies.
