Overview School Psychologist – Preschool (Maternity Leave Coverage) Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide maternity leave coverage for a preschool program in Palos Verdes Estates, California . This is an excellent short-term opportunity for a clinician who enjoys conducting comprehensive evaluations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support young learners. Assignment Dates: August 17, 2026 – November 6, 2026 Schedule: Monday-Friday Weekly Hours: Approximately 32.5 hours Compensation: $63-$68/hour on a W-2, paid weekly Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for preschool-aged students Administer, score, and interpret standardized cognitive, academic, adaptive behavior, and social-emotional assessments Prepare timely, legally compliant evaluation reports with clear recommendations Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings Collaborate with educators, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations Support early intervention planning through data-driven recommendations Qualifications Master\'s, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology Experience conducting preschool evaluations and assessments preferred Strong report writing, communication, and collaboration skills Knowledge of IDEA, special education eligibility, and assessment best practices Competitive weekly pay 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Assistance Program CEU and professional development opportunities Dedicated recruiter and clinical support throughout your assignment If you\'re passionate about supporting early childhood learners through high-quality assessments and collaborative care, we\'d love to hear from you!
