Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Patient population consists mostly of geriatrics and adults, with some pediatric patients in the ED
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CRT or RRT
• Required skills include vent management, CPAP, BiPap, nebulizers, arterial line placement, intubation, vent weaning, extubation, and ABGs
• Must be proficient with AVEA vents, Servo U vents, LPU 1200 vents, parapack vents for MRI, and Hamilton vents for transport
• Charting system: EPIC and Pyxis
• Will float within the hospital to all units
• Orientation consists of at least one shift to learn workflow
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• On-call requirements vary
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated
• Cannot work more than 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts per fatigue policy
• Scrub color: Any - no camouflage or denim
• Free parking available

This facility is a large 933-bed hospital designated as a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU, holding Magnet Designation and recognition as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The facility provides a wide range of specialized medical services and supports a diverse patient population across multiple units. The respiratory therapy department is well-equipped with a variety of ventilator systems and advanced respiratory care technology to support high-quality patient outcomes.
