General Manager

General Manager Acts as the primary owner of the Retail Stores Operational Plan. Responsible for ensuring performance objectives are met and achieving business results. Collaborates with the VP of Stores to develop and implement strategies for achieving the store’s financial goals. Partners with all other functional heads to achieve company objectives. The Floor Manager reports directly and assists in managing all operations of the store, in addition to sales responsibilities. A key focus of the role is to create a positive work environment and foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among associates. Communicates effectively with the team, sets clear expectations, and recognizes and rewards associates for their contributions. Accountable for attracting and hiring talented store associates, guiding them through training requirements and providing long‑term coaching. Evaluates performance, delivers timely reviews, and maintains a succession plan. Day‑to‑day duties include scheduling team members, guaranteeing guests the Robbins Brothers experience, adhering to the visual guide, managing the budget, and ensuring merchandise security. Demonstrates adherence to Robbins Brothers policies and procedures while modeling its values. Sales Management Guides employees in all aspects of the business, coordinating with the Floor Manager. Creates a positive work environment and fosters teamwork among associates. Communicates effectively with the team and sets clear sales performance expectations. Designs and assigns sales floor coverage to increase opportunities. Maximizes all sales opportunities by guiding associates to direct guest flow. Utilizes positive coaching and advises sales associates to deliver an enhanced in‑store experience. Maximizes average sale with each guest. Increases close percentage to achieve the organization’s sales opportunities. Develops the sales culture through visible data, recognition, and accountability. Masters the utilization of the Salesforce system and coaches sales associates in its use. Adheres to Salesforce metric objectives for data collection, tasks, and appointments. People Development Attracts and evaluates sales talent. Facilitates effective hiring and retention of sales associates. Ensures completion of required onboarding training and education within specified time. Creates a team‑oriented workplace environment. Provides behaviorally specific performance feedback that builds confidence and maintains self‑esteem. Holds employees accountable for sales targets, strategic goals, and improvement expectations. Builds a strong collaborative team culture to drive productivity and solve problems. Fosters a sense of belonging and best practices to enhance trust among team members. Documents human resource actions in accordance with company policies. Conducts succession planning at required intervals. Merchandise Management Completes the required product training in the specified timeframe. Acquires expert product knowledge and stays up to date on incoming merchandise. Trains and coaches sales associates in all product categories and works effectively with designers. Coaches associates on maximizing gross margin when exploring product options. Adheres to visual guides for merchandise displays and follows Robbins Brothers best practices. Ensures merchandise display best practices are implemented. Holds sales associates accountable for quality control and security standards when handling merchandise. Controls inventory shrinkage by adhering to security and loss prevention policies and procedures. Business Acumen Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of budgets, monitors sales and expenses, and ensures the store operates within financial targets. Analyzes financial data to identify opportunities and risks, developing strategies to address concerns. Demonstrates drive and achieves results through effective business planning and execution. Plans critical business activities and accomplishes them within required time frames. Adjusts sales approach to ever‑evolving conditions.
