Geriatric Psych Registered Nurse
Location: Asheville, NC
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate Geriatric Psych Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to geriatric patients in a behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional evaluation and assessment skills while working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient health and behavior.
- Monitor vital signs and assist with daily patient needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Utilize critical thinking to de-escalate patient situations effectively.
- Participate in Rapid Response and Code Blue situations as required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in behavioral health and geriatrics preferred.
