Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals. Maintains work area cleanliness.Job DescriptionRoles & ResponsibilitiesPerform complex, multi-axis CNC machinery set-up by downloading and/or adjusting preset programs, or by creating complex new programs on a variety of CNC equipmentOperate CNC manufacturing equipment to produce acceptable product per work instructionsMaintain and support 5‑axis CNC milling equipment, including tool changes, part swaps, offsets, and calibrationOperate and maintain surface grinding equipment, ensuring machines remain in proper operating conditionTroubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues, identifying root cause and implementing corrective actionsMeasure parts, enter offsets, and make adjustments to maintain parts within specificationPerform preventive and total productive maintenance (TPM) activities, including daily, weekly, and monthly PMsRead and interpret technical drawings to determine machine set-up and production methodsInspect parts for defects as part of in-process inspection; record results, adjust program or notify appropriate person of deviation when neededPerform machine adjustments such as off-sets or setting tapersPerform basic preventative maintenance such as changing coolants, filters, etcClean work area, machines, tools and equipmentTrain incoming CNC Set-up personnel on processes and proceduresWears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatorySupport continuous improvement initiatives, 6S, and Lean Manufacturing standardsEquipment & Processes SupportedGF 5‑Axis CNC MillOkamoto Surface GrindersManual BlanchardsMTI SlicersHaas Mini MillJob Requirements:Shift:Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm (10 hour shifts, OT encouraged)Education:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not requiredVocational or technical certification preferredExperience:Three (3) years relevant CNC experienceFive (5) years CNC experience preferredFunctional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Experience with G‑Code and conversational programmingStrong machining background with hands‑on equipment operationPreventive and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experienceCNC programming knowledge, including CAD/CAM fundamentals and GD&TAbility to understand and act on verbal and written instructionsAbility to write, edit and modify advance CNC program optionsIntermediate math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry) and computer skillsDeep knowledge of CAD/CAM programs and G & M codesProficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprintsMust exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skillsMust be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgroundsTarget Hiring RangeHourly: USD 29.98 - USD 36.63Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
