We are a historic church located in a relatively new and paid-for facility in Jasper, IN. Due to denominational differences, we currently have a small congregation and are seeking an individual who can catch the vision for rebuilding this church. We are in the process of affiliating with the ARPC, and there is a significant need to reach out to the local community and beyond, as there is no reformed church within a 60-mile radius. Responsibilities: Proclaim the word of God consistent with the doctrinal standards of the reformed Presbyterian church, and teach, guide, and equip all members, grounded in the full counsel of God and the Gospel in all of life. Provide biblical, spiritual, pastoral, and visionary leadership within the framework of the church’s overall vision, mission, and purpose. Promote the spiritual health, growth, and well-being of the congregation through preaching, congregational care, prayer, and administration of the sacraments. Offer guidance, mentoring, and perspective to church leaders. Plan and lead worship services. Visit, comfort, and pray with home-bound members. Foster and develop relationships with all congregational members regardless of their position or circumstances. Conduct and lead funeral services and officiate at weddings. Demonstrate a commitment to personal spiritual growth, prayer, and ongoing development, including participation in small or care groups. Maintain regular and open communication with elders and members. Practice self-reflection and self-evaluation. Provide baptism and marriage preparation. Engage with neighboring organizations and ministries, and participate in community events as approved by the session. Support the church in its outreach ministry. Qualifications: Proclaim the word of God aligned with the doctrinal standards of the reformed Presbyterian church. Provide spiritual, pastoral, and visionary leadership. Promote spiritual health and growth of the congregation. Offer guidance and mentorship to leaders. Plan and lead worship services. Visit and pray with home-bound members. Build relationships within the congregation. Conduct funerals and officiate weddings. Commit to personal spiritual growth and community involvement. Maintain open communication with church leadership and members. Engage in self-reflection and evaluation. Prepare individuals for baptism and marriage.
