Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities: Route Planning & Dispatch Prepare and distribute daily collection schedules and routes for waste trucks and drivers. Adjust and optimize routes based on customer requests, service frequency, and traffic conditions. Track vehicle movement in real-time using GPS or dispatch systems to ensure route compliance. Fleet Management Monitor fleet availability, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance schedules. Ensure that vehicles are serviced, inspected, and roadworthy at all times. Coordinate with the maintenance department to report and resolve mechanical issues quickly. Service Coordination Communicate daily assignments, changes, and instructions to drivers and field supervisors. Ensure waste collection, skip bin deliveries, and roll-on/roll-off operations are executed on time. Follow up on missed collections or delays and arrange prompt service recovery. Customer & Operations Support Act as a liaison between the operations team and clients to handle inquiries, schedule changes, and complaints. Maintain accurate records of customer service requests, service logs, and collection manifests. Support the billing and customer service departments by providing accurate service data and documentation. Compliance & Safety Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, environmental regulations, and health & safety standards. Conduct routine checks to confirm that drivers have valid licenses, PPE, and understand waste handling protocols.
