Wage-Hour Employment Litigation Associate Job Description Experience: Senior Level Salary: $150,000 - $210,000 per year We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Permanent Wage-Hour Employment Litigation Associate to join our diverse and inclusive team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional legal services to our clients, primarily in the area of wage‑hour and employment litigation, working on high‑profile cases, engaging in complex litigation, and contributing to a team passionate about achieving justice for workers. The candidate must have a strong background in class action law, civil litigation, wage‑hour disputes, PAGA cases, and class action lawsuits. Responsibilities Represent clients in all stages of wage‑hour and employment litigation, including pre‑litigation investigation and negotiations, drafting pleadings, discovery, and trial. Conduct thorough investigations into potential wage‑hour violations and PAGA cases. Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with the team to effectively represent clients and achieve successful outcomes. Draft and argue motions, take and defend depositions, and negotiate settlements. Engage in proactive client communication to provide updates, advice, and legal counsel. Participate in the development and presentation of educational programs and materials for clients about wage‑hour laws and related topics. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of developments in wage‑hour laws, court decisions, and other legal and regulatory changes that affect clients. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the California state bar and in good standing. Minimum of 2 years of experience in wage‑hour and employment litigation, including substantial experience with class action law, civil litigation, wage‑hour disputes, PAGA cases, and class action lawsuits. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the complexities of wage‑hour laws. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively present complex legal arguments and strategies to clients, opposing counsel, and courts. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple cases and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism. Demonstrated commitment to public interest law, workers’ rights, and social justice. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and to thrive in a fast‑paced, challenging, and collaborative work environment.
