Optical Supervisor / Assistant Manager - Slough Inspired Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an Optical Supervisor / Assistant Manager on behalf of a well-established optical practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Optical Assistant looking to take the next step in their career, or an existing Supervisor seeking a new challenge within a supportive and customer-focused environment. Working closely with the Practice Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the store, supporting the team, delivering outstanding customer service and helping to drive business performance. The Role Supporting the Practice Manager with the daily operation of the store Leading and motivating the team to achieve KPIs and business objectives Conducting morning briefings and allocating daily workloads Acting as a keyholder, including opening and closing the practice Cashing up and completing end-of-day procedures Providing coaching, mentoring and support to team members Ensuring exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times Assisting with customer queries and resolving issues professionally Supporting the smooth flow of patients throughout their journey The Ideal Candidate Previous optical experience is essential Leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous Passionate about customer service and patient care Confident communicator with strong organisational skills Able to motivate and support colleagues effectively Commercially aware with a positive and proactive attitude A team player who leads by example What's On Offer Salary up to 28,000 per annum Full-time position (37.5 hours per week) One weekend day required Supportive working environment Excellent opportunity for progression and development Join a business that genuinely values its people and customers If you're looking for a new challenge and would like to hear more, we'd love to have a confidential chat.
