About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, HSS Team (workplace violence training) Must-Have: 2 years of experience in Emergency Department required. Valid Driver's License required. Pass/Fail exam during orientation. Artificial nails are prohibited for patient care roles. Every other weekend availability required. Description: Position requires a passion for emergency medicine. Candidates should demonstrate a positive attitude and teamwork. Compassion towards patients is essential. Self-starters who ask questions are preferred. Utilization of TeleHealth is expected. Focus on purposeful rounding is emphasized. Ratios of 1:4-5 based on patient acuity. Common diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, behavioral health, sepsis, and stroke. High acuity patient care is a regular responsibility. Familiarity with EMR system is required. Candidates should be flexible with scheduling as block scheduling is not guaranteed. Fingernail policy strictly prohibits artificial nails in patient care areas. RTO is needed upfront and additional RTO will not be approved. The facility can cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment duration.
