Team members join a professional, mission-driven environment focused on nurturing the whole child. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Montessori Toddler Teacher role based in Livonia, MI. The teacher will guide a toddler classroom using Montessori principles, preparing and maintaining a safe, orderly, and engaging learning environment. Daily responsibilities include presenting age-appropriate Montessori materials, observing each child’s development, and adapting activities to meet individual needs. The teacher will support children with toileting, self‑care routines, social‑emotional development, and independence, while maintaining consistent classroom routines. The role also involves communicating regularly with families, collaborating with co teachers and support staff, documenting progress, and participating in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. Qualifications Montessori training or certification for the toddler/early childhood level, or a strong willingness to obtain Montessori credentials. Experience working with toddlers or young children in an early childhood, preschool, or Montessori classroom setting. Knowledge of child development, positive guidance, and social‑emotional learning for children ages 18 months to 3 years. Ability to prepare and maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that supports independent exploration. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with children, families, and colleagues in a professional setting. Capacity to observe and document children’s progress and adapt activities to meet diverse learning needs and abilities. Patience, reliability, and a warm, respectful approach to guiding young children and supporting their autonomy. High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
