Assistant Athletic Trainer

Reporting directly to the Head Athletic Trainer, the assistant athletic trainer will assist with providing medical care and coverage for twelve intercollegiate sports; travel and provide athletic training coverage for selected sports, particularly in football and baseball and assisting with additional coverage; maintain comprehensive injury, treatment, and rehabilitation records; develop rehabilitation and strengthening strategies for treatment, prevention, and off-season periods; handles pre-participation physical examinations for all student-athletes; attend departmental and athletic training staff meetings; other duties as assigned by Head Athletic Trainer/Administration.

This position will report directly to the Head Athletic Trainer.

Bachelor's degree required

BOC certification as an athletic trainer

Illinois Licensed or eligible before start date

2+ years experience at the collegiate level

CPR and First Aid certified and meet the education minimum standards of the BOC Description of Hours: Job will require a flexible schedule during the week and well as weekends, holidays and possible travel.
