Shift: 3x12 NIGHTS (18:00 - 06:30)

Weekend REQ: minimum 3 weekends in 6 week period. shift time 6p-6:30a

NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO

On-call REQ? Possibility of being placed on call

Floating Requirements: Possibility of being floated depending on unit/hospital needs

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours

Ratios: 1:5

Years of experience REQ: 1 yr

First-timers accepted: Yes

Certs REQ: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS

Please Note: travelers cannot start without their PALS certificate. PALS is required for med surg RNs per Witham Health Services policy, as we admit pediatrics to this unit.

Locals accepted: Yes, travelers are considered local if they live within 50 miles radius of the hospital. If they are local, they will have a $15 rate differential.

Special Requirements: Ambulatory, MS experience preferred. Tele experience REQUIRED.

Patient Diagnoses: Chest Pain r/o MI, afib, CHF, COPD, ESRD, UTI, pneumonia, sepsis, COVID, RSV, C-diff, GI bleed, cellulitis, pancreatitis, CVA/TIA, bowel obstruction, anemia (requiring transfusions), electrolyte imbalances, seizures, mental status changes, pediatrics (typically observation for O2 therapy or bili babies), Hip/knee/shoulder replacements, bowel resections with/without colostomy/ileostomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, thyroid resections, mastectomy, hysterectomy, wound debridement

Special Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps, Bladder scanner, Vein finder, Telemetry

Compliance RTO- Max amount of RTO is 7 days. If RTO is during the holidays, travelers must be willing to work 1 of the 3 holidays

Requires a specific amount of exp. 1 -2 preferred experiences, will accept first-time travelers.

A valid state license is not required at the time of submission but the candidate must be willing to obtain before starting

Candidates will float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby Depending on volume/census

Copy of Certifications - Traveler agrees to obtain all required certs before starting. Will take pending certs

Background Policy to be noted before submission Nursys only

Return Staff Policy must be gone 3 years before returning as a traveler

The travelers need to complete up to 8 hours of modules within 1 week of signing for Witham Preferred
