New Grads are welcome to apply! Marklund is seeking highly motivated and mission-centered individualfor the position of School Nurse (RN or LPN) at theMarklund Day School in Bloomingdale, IL. The School Nurse addressesthe health needs of students and coordinates with staff, families,healthcare providers, and community agencies to provide acomprehensive school health program that facilitates the appropriateeducational opportunity for students. Hours for this position are8am-4pm, Monday-Friday. The hourly rate range is $29.25- $34/hr forLPN and $31.25- $36/hr for RNbased on qualifications and experience. With two residential locations – theMarklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center inElgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund DaySchool offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children andyoung adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on theautism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program ateach site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside atMarklund and those who come in from the community. Marklund Day School is awell-known and respected nonpublic school serving students ages PreK-22 who come to our school’s program through partnerships withvarious Chicago suburban school districts. Marklund Day schoolprovides an environment conducive to learning through specializedcurriculum, positive behavioral interventions, and individualizedstudent support. Our highly sensory-driven program features physicaland occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, art and musictherapy, Snoezelen therapy, computer adapted technology, communityprograms and opportunities, recreational therapy, aquatic therapy and more. Job Responsibilities: Administers medications Tube feedings and treatments as prescribed Prepare annual health history as needed for students Attendance at student IDT and IEP meetings as needed Complete daily documentation as required.
