Staff Accountant – Family Office

Salary: Up to $130,000

The Opportunity

Seattle Search Group is partnering with a well-established private family office to identify a Staff Accountant . This is a unique opportunity to support a sophisticated, multi-entity environment while working closely with an experienced accounting team responsible for the financial operations of a family office and its related entities.

The ideal candidate enjoys a variety of accounting responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on full-cycle accounts payable , while also supporting general ledger accounting, reconciliations, cash management, and special projects. This role offers broad exposure to family office accounting in a highly collaborative, service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process utilizing electronic approval workflows.
• Maintain general ledger activity for multiple entities.
• Prepare monthly bank, credit card, and investment account reconciliations.
• Record journal entries and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Coordinate annual 1099 reporting and vendor maintenance.
• Support year-end tax reporting and accounting schedules.
• Monitor cash activity and assist with treasury-related tasks.
• Maintain organized accounting records and electronic documentation.
• Assist with entity administration, banking relationships, and various accounting projects.
• Partner with the Controller to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-4+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong full-cycle Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• QuickBooks Online and Bill.com experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Service-oriented with a "no task too small" mentality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
