Job SummaryThe Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. This role involves monitoring premises, conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing company policies and procedures.Essential DutiesEstablishing and maintaining relationships with business and residential neighbors.Patrol assigned areas on foot or, when necessary, by vehicle to ensure safety and securityMonitor surveillance systems and alarmsControl access to the facility by verifying identification and managing entry pointsRespond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarmsComplete the site security checklist dailyProvide assistance to employees, visitors, and clients as neededEnforce rules, regulations, and company policiesDocument and report observed suspicious activities or security breachesCoordinate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessaryMaintain strict HIPAA compliance by safeguarding the facilities and taking appropriate steps to preserve a secure and respectful environment.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.At least 1 year of prior security experience required; certifications a plusPrevious security experience in a healthcare environment preferredAble to work flexible hours, including some night and weekendsBasic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response requiredHave reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and appropriate insuranceSkills & CompetenciesStrong observation and attention to detailGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm under pressureSound judgement and decision-making abilitiesReliable, punctual, and professional demeanorPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand or walk for extended periodsAbility to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, sit, talk, hear, stand, bend, walk; use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.May be exposed to communicable diseases and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV.May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, offensive odors, and hazardous materials.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions #J-18808-Ljbffr
