Description Greenbriar Veterinary Hospital & Luxury Pet Resort is looking for a full-time Experienced Pet Groomer to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Frederick, MD. About You You’ll help pets look and feel their best by providing exceptional grooming care and creating a positive experience for every visit. Your rewarding work will range from hands‑on grooming services, including bathing, brushing, styling and breed‑specific trims, to supporting pet comfort, safety, and wellness throughout every appointment. Your Experience & Skills Minimum 2+ years of professional pet grooming experience required, including breed‑specific cuts, clipping techniques, hand‑scissoring, and coat maintenance for a variety of coat types. Strong knowledge of pet behavior and safe handling practices required, Fear Free Certification or experience strongly preferred. Superior/advanced attention to detail and commitment to quality. Possesses a positive work attitude. Self‑motivated. Excellent communication and organization skills. Our groomers earn a base hourly rate starting at $18 - $19 / hour , based on experience, skill level, and location. In addition to hourly pay, groomers are eligible for commission, which is calculated as a percentage of the grooming services they provide. Commission rates are negotiable and performance‑based, meaning that base compensation may increase with factors such as service volume, quality of work, and client retention.
