Account Manager

Roebuck Landscaping

“Grow Client Partnerships & Drive Enhancements in Commercial Landscape Excellence”

SUMMARY:

Roebuck Landscaping (RL) is seeking a high-performing Account Manager to serve as the primary liaison for our Commercial Landscape Maintenance clients throughout the Upstate of South Carolina. This role is responsible for strengthening client relationships, driving enhancement sales, and ensuring delivery of exceptional service across our maintenance portfolio.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial maintenance clients, building trust and consistent communication.
  • Deepen client engagement by connecting with key decision-makers and influencers one level above and below.
  • Proactively conduct regular site walks, reviews, and client meetings to ensure satisfaction and uncover enhancement opportunities.
  • Respond promptly to client needs and ensure resolution of concerns with professionalism and urgency.

Enhancement Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Identify, propose, and close enhancement projects tailored to each client's goals, property needs, and budget.
  • Collaborate with operations and design teams to scope, estimate, and schedule enhancement work.
  • Track enhancement sales pipeline and deliver on monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
  • Educate clients on seasonal opportunities, value-add improvements, and enhancements.

Operational Coordination:

  • Partner closely with Crew Leaders, Operations Managers, and Division Directors to ensure services are delivered to RL standards.
  • Translate client expectations into actionable plans for field teams; ensure timely and quality execution.
  • Monitor contract performance, site quality, and crew alignment with customer expectations.
  • Support timely renewals and service adjustments as part of lifecycle management.

FIRST YEAR EXPECTATIONS & ONGOING EXCELLENCE

  • Grow enhancement revenue by $500K–$750K+ in your first 12 months through proactive sales and upselling.
  • Achieve and maintain >95% client retention across your book of business.
  • Conduct regular site evaluations and client check-ins to anticipate needs and exceed expectations.
  • Become a subject matter expert on RL’s full suite of landscape services and seasonal offerings.
  • Build trusted internal relationships across RL teams to support cross-functional execution.
  • Provide quarterly reporting on enhancement performance, client feedback, and retention outlook.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required for the right candidate with strong sales experience.
  • Proven Track Record: 3+ years of account management, landscape maintenance, or enhancement sales experience preferred .
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of commercial landscaping practices, including turf care, plant health, irrigation, and seasonal color.
  • Sales Expertise: Exceptional communication, presentation, and closing skills.
  • CRM Proficiency: Comfortable using sales software to manage pipeline and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to address client challenges effectively.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to develop and lead high-performing teams while driving operational improvements.
  • Client Management: Strong communication and relationship-building skills to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities quickly.
