Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse - Niles, Ohio

This assignment will place you in a progressive, fast-paced Stepdown/PCU Neuro unit, providing intermediate level care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. With a 40-bed unit and nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 at night, you'll have the chance to practice essential skills and develop your leadership in a setting that values quality improvement and best practice standards. Exposure to initiatives around neuro/stroke protocols and advanced cardiac therapies will set your resume apart and deepen your clinical proficiency.


Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts
• 13-week contract

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active RN license in Ohio or multistate compact
• Minimum 1 year RN experience (6+ months in acute care preferred)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required
• Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide available)
• Neuro/stroke experience preferred
• EPIC EHR and critical care training preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive patient assessments and creating individualized care plans
• Administering medications and monitoring advanced cardiac drips
• Serving as a liaison for interdisciplinary care and patient advocacy
• Managing patients with complex medical conditions, including neurological and cardiac issues
• Responding confidently to changing patient conditions and emergencies
