Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,398 per week

Night shift schedule: 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM, 12‑hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week. Provide ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP/Optiflow setup, intubation assistance, tracheostomy and endotracheal care, arterial punctures and line draws, pulmonary function testing, and 12‑lead EKG performance. Manage rotating weekend and holiday coverage; no floating required. Assist with intubations, extubation procedures, and perform CPR and life support procedures as needed. Confer with physicians regarding patient care, interpret orders, and administer respiratory therapy medications. Use secretion removal techniques – postural drainage, chest percussion, airway suctioning. Assist in performing 12‑lead EKGs and pulmonary function tests. Provide age‑appropriate care for patients across all age groups. Requirements Associate's degree or certificate in Respiratory Therapy. Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience, including ventilator management, ECG, oxygen administration, and airway management. Basic knowledge of pulmonary and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Epic EMR experience required. Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (all American Heart Association). NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required. Illinois RCP license required if applicable. Additional Information Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible. RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13‑week contract. Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6‑month break in service is required before returning to any facility within the system.
