CDL A/B Truck Driver

Job TitleMUST HAVE CDL A or B and Clean Driving RecordJob DescriptionSUMMARY: Drives truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations by performing the following duties. Drivers with Class B License may expect stake body, flatbed dump, or box truck assignment; Class A License may additionally expect semi-trailer assignment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Present a friendly and accommodating atmosphere, helping our customers determine their needs and facilitate their request efficiently and accurately.Present a professional appearance and abide by the guidelines outlined in the employee handbook.All drivers must be well versed in and follow all safety procedures.Responsible for loading and securing materials in or onto their trucks.Responsible for verifying that the correct materials are loaded in or on their truck and that they arrive at the jobsite undamaged.When needed collects payment for goods delivered.Maintains truck and forklift according to state and federal regulations and operates at all times in a safe and responsible manner. Responsible for completing the daily Checklist form.Maintains telephone contact with shipper to receive delivery instructions.May be required to assemble materials for delivery.May be required to pickup materials at jobsite to be returned to yard.May be required to put away material that was taken back for credit.May be required to provide delivery of materials into buildings including on multiple floors and basementsInspects truck, equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water on a daily basis using the truck service checklist.Maintains equipment used to secure loads.
