Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care - $30-47 per hour

Job Overview BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Intermediate Care for a nursing job in Alton, Illinois. The position is part of Alton Memorial Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing No experience required. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree - Nursing (less than 2 years experience).
