Job Title

Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Neuroscience (Nights)

Location

Saint Louis, MO | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care on a Neurosurgical unit, caring for patients with stroke, seizures, MS, back/head/spinal, and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures
• Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients, upholding patient rights and confidentiality
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments
• Float within scope of practice as needed
• Willingness to take on occasional Charge Nurse responsibilities is required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care experience in Med/Surg and Neuroscience required
• On-site FIT test will be required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Charge Nurse experience is helpful but not required
• Team player with a patient-focused approach
• Experience caring for neurosurgical patient populations
